As I expected, I haven't been able to watch any videos with #HankGreen since he did that awful autism video back in April, in which he promoted ABA as the only evidence-based therapy for autism. I sent him an email about how bad the video was and that he needed to take it down and apologize for promoting ABA, but I guess it went into a black hole. I saw a few comments and response videos on YouTube, so I know I'm not the only one who hated the video.
Has anyone seen him respond to *any* criticism he got for the video? Am I the only one who can't stand Hank Green anymore? Seriously, if he had done a video promoting gay conversion therapy he'd have gotten infinite shit for it, but he promotes ABA, which is the same thing developed by the same psychologist, and he just gets away with it. He used to be one of the best things about YouTube, but now he's this unavoidable, looming presence, and it really makes YouTube so much worse.
