Trump wants to have his cake and eat it too (a crazy expression, eh?)—

Bully the world with the supposed goal of bringing manufacturing to the #USA so the country eventually becomes a net exporter…

AND keep the dollar strong as the world’s reserve currency.

But that is not how the world economy works, and Trump’s tariff actions could jeopardize both of his objectives.
