I see #mozilla making all these #ai related announcements and it makes me sad.

We need you focused on making #firefox the world's greatest web browser.

We need you to curb stomp #chrome and #edge and all their sleazy shenanigans1.

There are so many areas for improvement but I'm going to list a few anyway:

  • Better support for multiple profiles. Trying to use multiple profiles in Firefox right now is miserable #ux sadly.
  • WebUSB support
  • Fuller WebGL support

(With apologies to the folks working on those teams. I'm sure you're good people, but these products are super sleazy in the form they ship to the world)

The Clickmeeting software is just clearly utterly crap!
Taking us back to the days of "This website is best viewed in Internet Exploder".....
The webinar I was suppose to attend did not work in #firefox, OK I hadn't disabled noscript, it didn't work in #vivaldi #vivaldibrowser , and neither in #opera .
Well, I absolutely refuse to install #chrome and also don't want to use #edge , even though now I was on my W10 Pro netbook.
Clearly anybrowser.org/campaign is needing to be promoted.

Here are comments on the evolution of browser share in a year.

3/4 Fediverse members use #Firefox proper. Same as last year.
We welcome other parts of the Firefox family (any browser with Gecko inside):
• The share of Librewolf mentions doubled since last year.
• The share of other Gecko-based forks mentions also doubled since last year. (Even though some Waterfox usage is not logged because i did not list it.)

The shares of Chrome and Vivaldi were stable for the first thousand answerers (maybe more IT inclined) but doubled with the later thousand (in the last 24 hours).

The share of the last line (Opera-Blink-Brave mentions) decreased since last year.

A poll of "Which browsers do you use?" It notably shows Safari at 22% and Firefox at 75%. "2,138 people · 4 days left"

It pains me, but I've caved to technical pressures and made Edge the default browser on my work PC.

Firefox has long been my default, but it gets confused about which account to use with which tab, and I often end up fighting to point it to the right account.

Nobody else in my IT department reports this problem. It's almost like Microsoft wants links in Teams to fail with 3rd party browsers. 🤔

Also, Teams sucks. Why do attachments have to be links and not actual files? #Edge

Äh hallo Microsoft, schon mal was von survivorship bias gehört?

Wenn euer Edge (Firmenrechner) mir sagt, dass eine Datei sehr oft nicht heruntergeladen wurde, und sich das nicht bessert, hätte ich einer Erklärung für euch: der Bekloppte Prozess die Datei als sicher zu melden ist so kompliziert, dass es einfacher ist den Downloadlink zu kopieren und die Datei anderweitig herunterzuladen (vielen Dank an das curl Projekt).
