The Make Polluters Pay Plan would require big polluters to pay a fee based on their share of the past 20 years of carbon pollution that's been emitted into the atmosphere. The money would then be used to deal with the impacts of climate change and costs of transitioning to a clean energy future.

Plans for UK’s largest hydro pump storage scheme in Highlands approved

Gilkes #Energy, based in #Kendal, plans to install the PSH at Lochan na h-Earba, which once built will have a maximum output capacity of 1,800MW and a storage capacity of 40,000MWh, making it the largest project of its kind in the #UK.
