Pure CSS sphere of randomly positioned, non-intersecting spheres https://codepen.io/thebabydino/pen/LYXJPEb
Uses the spherical distribution tactic described here https://x.com/anatudor/status/1681959944784945153 and then makes sure no two spheres intersect. Also: pure CSS 3D shading!
I drew over 200 pages of my comic, and a lot of it is set in a night club. I used slightly different ways to shade for that setting every chapter, but was never really happy with it.
Then I saw a reel on instagram about simple dramatic lighting and tried it. I really like the result.
But enough that I will re-apply shading to all the pages that are set in the night club…?

I`ve tested a new Nurbs Modeller for Designers, Plasticity 3D.
Very impressive, that´s definetly my tool for hardsurface modeling from now on!
Rendered in 3ds Max with FStorm, no postprocessing.

Godot 4 help needed:
I want to do post processing in 3d with Visual Shaders. Screen texture of opaques only is easy, but with transparents I need a viewport, I think, right ? It worked also for a bit, but than it threw some errors (recursive usage?) and turnt grey. The docs also mention backbuffer copies... Anybody with more experience or a tutorial?
What magic did the Studio team use to make 'Wing It!' look so charmingly cartoony? Technical Artist Simon takes you through the process. The first article of a series explaining what goes on behind the camera, so to speak.
Ready? Go!

All right and that's a wrap for #MastoArtStudyNumber8 ! It is still a bit early in the evening so let's see if any you manage the deadline
Here is a timelapse of my exercise that I made a couple of days ago. It's a 1 minute #timelapse of a ~2 hour process.
My strategy:
Keep the moisture as long as possible in the top 10..15cm by
- soil protection with #mulch
- partly #shading with trees
- dry-out protection by a #windbreak like a #hedge or #deadhedge
To avert using plastic tubes, my next project are #ollas for the annual vegetables.
