In 2018, Japanese billionaire and art collector Yusaku Maezawa announced a search for eight artists to join him on a week-long lunar mission aboard SpaceX’s Starship. In 2021, Rhiannon Adam was chosen as the only female crew member. For three years she immersed herself in the space industry, until Maezawa cancelled the mission.

Here are two maps of sites of interest from the last map. The first is the southernmost point of the traverse (and the south end of the triple traverse). The second is the cross-shaped 'special magnetic experiment' area. In the second map it's not necessarily easy to work out the exact path from the complex tracks, though I will be looking again at modern Russian mapping to clarify some details.

I was awoken by a Tawny owl starting the dawn chorus

And good morning, Moon!

A view of the Moon seen through trees barely in leaf. The Moon is very low on the horizon and a lovely orangey yellow colour, contrasting nicely with the gradually lightening sky. I could see the owl, no matter how hard I tried.

Very clear image of partial full moon in the sky above Jacksonville, taken one minute after sunrise. Oddly, the sky was blue in person and in the viewscreen until the zoom reached 20 or higher. After 20, the image seemed larger, otherwise no different. The image includes incredible moon surface detail.
I'm quite suspicious. I've read that Samsung has been caught auto-replacing the moon's image in user's photos with clear ones from the Samsung Cloud of user's pics. 🤷‍♂️
It's fun to think i really took this picture however. 😁🤓
