My OCs, Coralie and Pete. (2022)
They initially were my characters from The Sims 3, but I decided to keep them and give them a proper story.

Coralie is a daughter of a genie and her only dream was to become a mermaid, but she can't grant herself a wish and her mother refuses to do it, so she was just sad and tailless until Pete decided to buy her a functional mermaid costume and make her childhood dream come true... (and he didn't want to waste his wish on turning her into a fish, let's be real)

Mirage is the second of the two characters I'm playing in a one-on-one Pathfinder 2e campaign my partner and I were planning. Mirage is a dragon-blooded merfolk ranger, and chitters is their "faithful" mount.
Mirage doesn't really fit the typical ranger archetype, they were a prince (though very far from the throne) cast out over a disagreement with their mother. The Queen disowned them, exiled them from the kingdom and only allowed them to take their mount Chitters before chasing them out of their kingdom. Like many nobility, mirage enjoyed hunting for sport, and was quite good at it, but they quickly learned that the hunting trips they went on, surrounded by royal attendants, are very different from living out in the wilderness and having to hunt enough to feed both you, and a very grumpy wyvern that was not particularly keen to be taken from his life of luxury.

Any visit to West Cornwall would not be complete without saying hello to the C15th Mermaid of Zennor. Although she sits in isolation in a sea of mediocre Victorian restoration, she is beautiful, inspiring, and mysterious. She holds a mirror and a comb, seen as symbols of vanity.

If you imagine a #mermaid you probably picture a magnificent sea #creature with golden hair floating in the waves. Forget that image right away. The #Feejee Mermaid was anything but graceful. A grotesque but fascinating creation, she became one of the most famous #hoaxes in #history carried out by the talented—and formidable—P.T. Barnum.
