After the last two days of everything going on with regards to being laid off from work on Wednesday, I decided that it was time to get out of the house today and get away from all the press and publicity that having worked for Nova Launcher brought upon me.
Majority of it is positive, but I needed time away to get my mind back to normal. We went to lunch, then shopping at the mall.
It was nice to get away and not sit, read and reply to everything along the way!
My biggest hooman was #laidoff yesterday after months of hard work kept them from me and #Plushville. They say they'll be OK, but I think they need hugs more than they're letting on, so I'm going to stay by their side all day! #hugs #love #support

I haven't opened a text editor in a couple of weeks and it feels good, perhaps taking a break can allow me to appreciate coding again. Maybe taking a break from the thing you've been doing professionally can make you long for it again. There's also guilt associated with not coding, will I get rusty? What If I'm not constantly learning all the new trends? I also haven't started the job hunt

Well, I guess I'm looking for work again! Force reductions just before Christmas. 5 years of service, big features built and released, internal awards won, and it all ends with a Zoom call. Awesome.
