This is a common #antipattern that I see with #microservices architecture. If you find yourself needing to implement a distributed two-phase commit over a multiple micro services, then you have most likely made the architecture too fine grained.

Interesting. But I think it goes a little far in calling this an "anti pattern". I mean I see the point, but it's not so terrible that I would label it as anti.

On the quest to find yet another crappy D.O.A. "social" media app, I reactivated my old #Vero account from the early 1800s. Or at least, I tried to do so. I reset my password, created a safe, secure pw in #KeePassXC, and tried to paste it in the Vero app. Only to figure out that they disabled copypaste in their password field - e-mail works fine, tho.

Confession of a dinosaur: I don't care for PiP, which video platforms seem to think everyone wants.

When I leave a web page or app screen with a playing video I want the playback to stop, not follow me. I'm a non multitasking dinosaur and that PiP window is distracting as hell, not to mention it feels like a video ad. But I guess this boosts the content consumption and engagement metrics.
