Vinz FrankThe Great Orion Nebula (M42)🌌. The Orion constellation, is one of the brightest and closest star-forming regions to Earth. It spans about 24 light-years across and is approximately 1,344 light-years away. The Nebula is notable for it's vibrant colors and the presence of young stars, making it a key area of study in astrophysics.<br>
I Captured it last Monday just before my surgery, processed with Siril. I removed some Stars on the 2nd picture :). Only 25 stacked exposures at 100s each—<br>
proof that even short sessions can create something magical.<br>

This is a group of galaxies in the Virgo constellation. The brighter ones, including M84 and M86 on the right side, appear to be placed on a curved line. But there are so many background galaxies! I had the image annotated and while it did annotate galaxies that aren't in the image (because they are so dim) it show just how many of these are in there.<br>
<br>
This is a target I wanted to shoot for quite some time. Unfortunately it's low, right in a light dome, and mostly obstructed by trees and houses. It just so happend that the timing was near perfect the last week, so all these constraints aren't as serve.<br>
<br>
I've taken this one with my Newtonian telescope I'm still working on, While I did figure out the focusing issues and contrast there are still things to tweak and improve.<br>

On April 1st, 2025, between 20:45 and 23:45 (UTC), our moon passed in front of the Pleiades. Of course, our skies were completely cloudy, so I wasn’t able to capture the actual event, but due to the brightness of the moon compared to M45, creating a nice capture would have been complicated anyway.<br>
<br>
Therefore, I used archive material (my M45 capture from November 2024 and the Moon from January 2022), to create an artistic composition of the event.<br>

DüttMessier 13, der große Kugelsternhaufen im Herkules, wurde 1714 von Edmund Halley entdeckt. Mit einer Flächenausdehnung von 20,0' (wahrer Durchmesser 145 Lichtjahre) und einer Helligkeit von 5,7 mag ist er unter einem dunklen Himmel bereits mit dem bloßen Auge zu sehen. Er umkreist unsere Heimatmilchstraße in einer Entfernung von 25 000 Lichtjahren. <br>
