Eve 😘📚<p>Do not under any circumstances attempt to upgrade Ubuntu Studio 22. Failing to upgrade is actually the best case scenario. If you need the gory details, they are <a href="https://toot.cat/@EveHasWords/113911543143975254" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here</a>. Be aware it gets quite angry and some of my opinions may not line up with yours.</p><p>If you're on a 22 LTS which <em>isn't</em> Studio, you <em>may</em> be fine. However, if you have installed any Python packages with <code>pip</code>, you are going to have a bad time. Python wants you to use <code>venv</code> for that stuff now and they're forcing the issue.</p><p>I have not found adequate advice on how to summon your scripts with <code>venv</code> on Linux without just launching the <code>venv</code> and calling them from inside that. I don't consider that a viable option. It's absurd to launch a <code>venv</code> every time you open a terminal window. I assume there is a way to do it. People are happy to talk about how with regard to Windows. I will find it eventually.
