Cyber YukiAround the middle of the game, 14 hours of gameplay.The good things: <ul><li>I like the main character being a girl. It adds depth to the story compared to just having a generic protagonist.</li><li>The new biomes (mainly the sea monkey vine caves and the coral bridges area) make it so fun to explore. Not to mention, creatures like the giant jellyfish with plants inside (forgot the name) really make it seem like an alien world; </li><li>Sharks. In comparison, the Leviathans in the original game seemed boring; like, one big enemy that instantly gets you fried. It gave me a boogeyman vibe as opposed to "predators that actually hunt and eat you". The brute shark kept actually circling around my last location, waiting for me to come out. That's predatory behavior and I LOVED IT. The fear feels more real.</li><li>The carnivorous plants in the seamonkey biome were absolutely terrifying. They made me think twice whenever I saw purple tipped plants. Is it a spiky trap? No? Oh whew.</li><li>The music. Fantastic for the ambience.</li><li>The merc woman from the first game adds to the lore.</li><li>There's a fridge!!!</li><li>The seatruck general idea. Wheee!</li></ul>The bad:<ul><li>The seatruck is clumsy and I wish I could have internal storage like the Seamoth.</li><li>Again, No realtime map with "you are here" indicators. Come on, guys!</li><li>Lack of awesome music when you get a new blueprint. It's random and doesn't make sense.</li><li>The small map. It feels too small compared to OG subnautica.</li><li>Still too many scattered parts. A little handholding would help; still too much grinding.</li><li>Too little time between feeling hungry / thirsty. It gets annoying.</li></ul>Overall, it's a really fun game with its flaws, some new, some inherited.
