That's the true power of advanced tooling, not the "one tool that does all of that".</p><p>And I'm aware of the irony of that message, considering the fact that Emacs has the power of including really anything(!) within its borders. 😉</p><p>And of course: it's always better when it's FOSS and not closed source in order to minimize <a href="https://graz.social/tags/lockin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>lockin</span></a> effects (besides proper standardized, open storage formats).</p><p><a href="https://graz.social/tags/PIM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PIM</span></a></p>

I need to get this done. I need a phone-plus-desktop solution for calendar CRUD that works with my tasks app and calendar app on Android sufficiently gracefully that I can tolerate it.</p><p>I have been looking for a drop-in replacement for Google's Android implementation of reminders for like 6 years. Mobil <a href="https://graz.social/tags/Vanadium" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Vanadium</span></a> auf <a href="https://graz.social/tags/GrapheneOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GrapheneOS</span></a>.</p><p>Ist auch vermutlich eine gute Wahl aus <a href="https://graz.social/tags/privacy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>privacy</span></a> &amp; <a href="https://graz.social/tags/security" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>security</span></a>-Perspektive.</p><p>Allerdings gibt's bei LibreWolf das Problem, dass fast alle Zeitangaben nur noch in <a href="https://graz.social/tags/UTC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UTC</span></a> dargestellt werden. Besonders lästig bei Chats, Version Control Systems, Kalender, ... im Browser. Adapting <a href="https://graz.social/tags/orgmode" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>orgmode</span></a> is great as well. It delivers a ton of useful features for my everyday work which I could not do without or with any software alternative.</p><p>However, with a sufficient complex setup, upgrading software causes things to break.
