Rebecca Banner<p>Lovely day out yesterday with the Gransden ringers for their spring <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/bellringing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bellringing</span></a> outing. Love visiting different churches, not only for the chance to ring on different bells, but to see a whole range of ages of church architecture. The first church looked very Norman (1066 & all that) on entering, which is unusual in itself, but look to the east end and suddenly*bamb* Georgian chancel complete with ceiling moulding! The next church was signposted outside as "notable saxon church". Lovely chunky tower arch. And then a church with a whole mix of styles including this classic perpendicular window, I guess the later end of the style based on the angular arch (?15th century?), but don't quote me on that.<br><a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/churches" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>churches</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/architecture" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>architecture</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/Northamptonshire" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Northamptonshire</span></a></p>
