More wildlife! Moments ago I caught this Garter snake in the creek trying to make a meal of a toad. I wouldn't normally interfere with nature but I didn't think the snake would be able to successfully consume the toad. I let the toad go free and caught the snake long enough for my snake loving wife to admire it before letting it go too.

A garter snake I guess. I'm used to them being more colorful so I was almost thinking it was a Desert Striped Whipsnake but that would be very rare here and the red tongue with black tip is garter snake.

On the rainy side of the state when I was a little kid big enough to pack a bucket around I'd fill the bucket up with garter snakes of all sorts of different colors.

I recently saw someone here who wrote a #snake game in basic for the #c64, but unfortunately I can't find the toot anymore. Thought I could try that in Amstrad CPC locomotive basic too. Doesn't run very performant, but it was fun. but I haven't programmed Basic for at least 25 years.

I've seen a common tree snake chase a lizard, whip snakes mating, and pythons fighting. I've also seen 3 legless lizards.
