A year ago, I saw someone open a book lamp in a bar. It was a pretty expensive product. Since I combine electronics and paper crafting, I had to DIY it and develop an easy-to-use circuit template and instructions for it. This educational project is perfect for libraries. Please #retoot :-)

Ich möchte mal herausfinden ob ich hier Menschen finde die ungefähr mein Jahrgang sind (Bj. 80) und aus #Ratingen sind. Von 1990 bis 1996 die Hauptschule in Ratingen-Lintorf besucht haben. Lehrerin war damals eine Frau Hofmann.

Bei Facebook hatte das mal geklappt. Aber da ich nichts mehr habe vom Meta Konzern. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Donald Trump hat mit diesem Statement einmal mehr deutlich gemacht, wie er sich die Vereinigten Staaten vorstellt – als eine Nation, in der Kritik nicht nur unerwünscht, sondern unterdrückt wird. Was er hier fordert, ist nicht weniger als eine Diktatur, in der Proteste nach Belieben verboten, Menschen deportiert und Bildungseinrichtungen finanziell erpresst werden.

Das Ende der Meinungsfreiheit?

In einer Demokratie ist das Recht auf Protest ein grundlegendes Element. Doch Trump will Colleges und Universitäten, die „illegale Proteste“ zulassen, sofort sämtliche staatlichen Gelder entziehen. Dabei bleibt völlig unklar, was überhaupt als „illegal“ gilt – offenbar alles, was ihm nicht passt. Das ist nichts anderes als Zensur durch wirtschaftlichen Druck. Wer sich gegen die Regierung stellt, wird finanziell ausgehungert.

Noch bedenklicher ist seine Drohung gegen protestierende Studierende. Während das Strafrecht in den USA längst Mechanismen für Gewalt oder strafbare Handlungen bei Demonstrationen kennt, geht Trump viel weiter: Er will ausländische Studierende „permanent“ abschieben, selbst wenn sie jahrelang im Land gelebt haben. Und US-Amerikaner sollen für Proteste dauerhaft von ihren Universitäten verwiesen oder sogar inhaftiert werden.

Wer protestiert, wird bestraft

Trump spricht nicht von Gewalt, sondern allgemein von „Agitatoren“. Das kann im Prinzip jede Person sein, die sich öffentlich gegen ihn oder seine Politik stellt. Die Aussage „NO MASKS!“ deutet darauf hin, dass selbst Vermummung – ein üblicher Schutz bei Demonstrationen, sei es aus Angst vor Repressionen oder digitaler Überwachung – strikt verboten werden soll. Wer sich trotzdem schützt, könnte pauschal kriminalisiert werden.

Das ist die Logik eines Autokraten: Einschüchterung, finanzielle Erpressung, und wer sich nicht fügt, wird aus dem Land geworfen oder ins Gefängnis gesteckt.

Was bin ich froh in einem demokratischen Land leben zu können!! Lasse die Demokratie leben!

Tengo una #Pregunta un poco aleatoria, a ver si alguien lo sabe. Si en la antigüedad (Grecia clásica por ejemplo) usaban las estrellas para navegar, ¿Solo podían navegar de noche? Hay algo ahí que se me escapa. Por lo que sé y he visto, navegaban solo bordeando la costa, ya que no tenían brújulas y alta mar (incluso el mediterráneo) podía ser peligroso para esos navíos. ¿Algune experte en navegación antigua en la sala?

I'm starting a series of 10 posts to introduce my work to everyone here. Please #retoot 🤗
My first paper circuit project was this anglerfish. I modeled it in Blender, printed templates using Pepakura, and used conductive tape for "wiring". It lights up with an RGB LED and a button cell. This anglerfish still hangs in my room, giving me nightmares 😅. Lots of fun, but also lots of work.
