Bill Gallagher PhotographyRockville ReflectionsRockville Regional Park is one of my regular hiking destinations near home. The park has a range of trails from easy to difficult. Near the end of summer this little pond can dry up into basically large mud puddle. I captured this on a beautiful spring day where the wind was completely absent. This beautiful snow covered tree stood out against the muted evergreens behind them. The snow was unbroken and presents a beautiful white carpet leading back to the tree. Researchers found that broadleaf forests, with their wider leaves, are more beneficial to soil health than coniferous forests. TomThey are not very mighty but they are the first acorns on the red oak.
