Certainly most Conservatives do not know #Marx, but I recently listened to a video that explained that billionaires like Jeff Bezos read Marx, to anticipate crises and prevent labour from organizing. It said: "The ultimate irony of history is not that Marx's ideas failed to destroy capitalism, but that capitalism's elite have adopted them as a survival manual."

#Solarpunk is rooted in #anarchism, not in etatist #socialism. #Punk in the former GDR & current fossilist regimes of the left such as in #Venezuela or #SouthAfrica are making the point.
For Solarpunks, economic thinking did not stop with white males of the 18th or 19th century such as #Smith or #Marx. We are looking for a future with contemporary, dialogical & also female voices such as the great economist Elinor #Ostrom.
