The skittish spiny lizard finally figured out that I'm nice and a source for tasty mealworms. He also figured out quickly that whistling means food. I expect him to be following me up onto the porch soon.
This is very well maybe Bill from last year. He's hanging out in the same spot and is the same size. It may have just taken a while to remember me and that whistling means food. He looks different, but that's to be expected because I think they are in there mating season colors now.
Words cannot possibly express how #delighted I am to watch my worst #ex-employer have #karma slap him in the face in real time. This is your #cummuppence #Zuckerberg. You're such a #hypocrite for going after #TikTok for #Chinese spying, while you were literally setting up #censorship tools for the #CCP. I look forward to seeing your stupid, #lizard face in #court again soon .
On #EarthDay, I volunteered to pick up garbage by the side of Napa Creek. I accidently scooped up this Alligator Lizard who was hiding in the some garbage litter.
Fear not. Lizard was returned to his leaf litter habitat.
This one is monitor #lizard... Name itself sounds like meme to me, maybe I should draw satire version one day...
I created this long time for DeviantArt challenge focused on reptiles.

My desert iguana buddy this morning. It's shy. I think it'll really warm up to me once I have live mealworms.
When Jerry is out of his enclosure pretty much the only thing that will stop him constantly trying to wander off to find a nook and/or cranny to hide in is his fleece guinea pig bed. He will, sometimes, just hang out in there, and he may even accept some chin scritches while he's doing so.
Fabulous day in South Devon (successfully) looking for Wall Lizard (Podarcis muralis) for my Grandson. Then 90 minutes mucking about on the sand. Happy days.
This morning, the big guy returned to his place on the wall, but I couldn't get near him. I threw a bunch of dried mealworms out there but I think the birds got them before he came back.
This smol fren, who lives on the other wall, came right up and chowed them from my hand.
It originally seemed like the small ones were more skittish likely, I assumed, because they are prey for virtually everything. But now with a larger sample size, that hasn't been the case.
Just after I posted this, I looked outside and a big fat Desert Spiny lizard (Sceloporus genus, probably S. magister) was sitting on the wall. I've got it eating dried mealworms from about 4 feet away, but hasn't taken any from my hand yet. These seem to be the easiest ones to tame.
This is the same species as Bill and Harriet, and about the same size as Bill, but it's not him.
A lizard — side-blotched, Uta stansburiana, I think? — debating sunlight and shade under the leaves of a caniagre dock plant at Saddleback Butte State Park this weekend
I was out at Cherbourg (Qld, Australia, NOT France) today and found some critters.
Some form of quite pretty skink
A Double-barred Finch
A Brown Honeyeater
An Australian Figbird (female)
Tiamat is not sure if this guy is the real deal or not. He seems a bit too blockheaded.
An overdue return to #LizardPosting: I spotted this adorable baby water dragon on my way to get lunch a short while ago.
