I was recently asked why I wasn't going to #DrupalCon ATL. The risk of getting sick is part of the reason, but another is I work in higher ed. Since Jan, we've shifted from budget tightening to FUD. I've invested ~6 months building & managing a new team trying to address 4+ yrs of debt. Not a great time to travel to TALK about #Drupal. I know where we need to be in 3 mo & REALLY can't risk getting sick if I want to make that happen.
