#VirginAtlantic quietly ended its partnership with #eVTOL developer #VerticalAerospace in November 2024, clearing the way for its new agreement with #Joby #Aviation, which builds on Joby's existing agreement with #Delta Air Lines. Whether Joby will be required to meet current European design standards to fly in the UK is still an open question, as I explain in my latest report for The Air Current. #electricaviation theaircurrent.com/industry-str

The Air Current · Joby displaces Vertical at Virgin Atlantic as U.S. eVTOL developers gain influence abroadData-driven reporting and analysis on the strategy and technology of flying.

Fun fact: If you're on a flight that uses Viasat for Wi-Fi connectivity and have T-Mobile you get free wifi in the US but even on international flights where they hide the T-Mobile deal you can still access the T-Mobile promotion page directly

You have to get your device ID token from the URL of any of their wifi-related links

Then paste it into this URL: directaccess.viasat.com/landin

Enjoy, T-Mobile flyers!

how does #signal differ from #delta? why should I stay on signal or switch to delta? to which one will WhatsApp (yuck) users switch more easily? Which will more likely be breached by criminals or worse governments¹? Which one will be there for longer, so people don't have to switch repeatedly?

¹no, I don't think governments are worse than criminals but I expect criminals to be evil while governments shouldn't even think of breaching privacy.
