Human Rights Watch has questioned Australia's three major political parties about their positions on a range of human rights and foreign policy issues

It is good to see parties forced to answer questions such as whether they support the use of Magnitsky sanctions against Chinese officials for severe human rights abuses. Mainstream media coverage of the election tends to focus on just a few issues and doesn't ask these type of questions

It gets worse for Peter Dutton as Dan Tehan pledges to "cut" skilled migration from 132k to 150k. Yes, you read that correctly. The alternate immigration minister proposes cutting upwards.

As you know, Peter Dutton is from my home state of Qld. Our police commissioner told us mid-2024 that DV was the number 1 callout for officers. So why is Dutton cobbling this together after pre-polling has commenced? He's had years to put DV policy together. #ausvotes

Respectfully, I disagree with Dr Monique Ryan, Teal independent Member for Kooyong. She said: "There's no place in Australian electoral campaigns for violence and aggression."

He interrupted a public meeting with Monique Ryan to spread neo-Nazi hate.
One should not tolerate intolerance.

The woman is middle-aged or a Boomer, and only as tall as the height of the Nazi's shoulder. She's showing no fear despite the physical mismatch. The Nazi is a tall, skin-head man, with a goatee that look like his sense of fashion ossified in the mid-1990s and his sense of morality is stuck in the 1930s or 1940s. He appears to have been caught flat-footed by the righteous retribution of the woman.

What I love about Australia's electoral system is that I cheer on stories like this, while in the US it would be terrifying.

STV, compulsory voting, and the AEC, mean that a vote for a Muslim third party, isn't a vote for Temu Trump.

They may not win, and that's cool, but it'll send a clear message to Labor:

Dutton's DV policy was literally cooked up over the past week or so. It's so obvious it was.

New offences (unsurprising from Mr Cop), but the register of offenders to be shared among state police is the kicker.

3 things:

1) a register of offenders is a register of victims

2) this will be weaponised by cops against (their) victims

3) cops are among the largest group of DV perpetrators and love to leak shit from their systems to other cops
