Truth be told, at @KronoMoonPhotos, what makes us happy is sharing, retooting & boosting everybody's personal #MoonShots, from their #bedroom #windows or their #backyard #gardens. Professional credentials are not required here, although an occasional #hashtag is nice: #MoonOverMastodon.
But there's a special love for our dedicated #deepspace #photogs, for their sharply etched #lunar #mountains & #craters, silent witnesses in the ethereal glow of #MotherEarth. #Astrophotography is a challenging, costly, and sometimes lonely pursuit, its #techies & #artisans gifting us with glimpses of the #wonders of the #cosmos. Here are a few fine practitioners, with our gratitude.

#Astrophotographers: Do you use the stock iOS/iPadOS tools for simple image processing? If not, is there a good iOS non-subscription app for doing it? I have mainly public outreach in mind, not necessarily extracting data. I’m looking for someone to potentially present an #OPTYCs workshop on this to TYC (two-year college and community college) astronomy faculty. Feel free to boost.
I think this is my favourite nebula photo that I've taken to date. I shot this earlier this month from my back garden here in Wales. Everything came together just right for this one image of the beautiful #RosetteNebula (or #NGC2237).

Pro Tip: If you are looking for good #astrophotographers to follow, do a search for "lunareclipse" today, and you're getting served a great menue. ;-) Many great players had arrived here just in time, so the first post-migration #eclipse played out nicely on Fedi. (The OtherSite was still better for the really exotic stuff like the #Uranus occultation, though - just because there are still a bit more people there. What will be world be like when the next TLE comes in 2025 ...?)
