Gestern erst einen Artikel veröffentlicht, der einen Lösungsansatz zu den Problemen mit #AppleMail in Verbindung mit einem #Pihole liefert. Seit dem Update auf #iOS/#iPadOS 18.2 hatte ich Probleme mit #AppleMail, dass E-Mails nicht mehr korrekt abgerufen werden konnten. Nach einigem Rumprobieren stellte sich nun heraus, dass es wohl an Kombination aus #PiHole und #Apple #PrivateRelay lag. Wer ähnliche Probleme haben sollte, kann mal folgendes ausprobieren:

@nico79 Was mir jedoch seit iOS 18.1 aufgefallen ist: in der iOS Mail App wird in der Vorschau die eingestellten 2 Zeilen „Vorschau“ nicht mehr angezeigt, trotz eben korrekter Einstellung. Erst nach einem App-Beenden und App Neustart werden diese angezeigt. Sobald neue Mails eintreffen das geliche Spiel.

In a previous toot I asked you about #Thunderbird, but now I thought I should start by asking what clients you use on your devices. In my case they are:
- #AppleMail (although I'm thinking of switching to something else) - #iOS, #iPadOS and #macOS
- #Thunderbird - #Windows and #Linux
- #Outlook - for work
W poprzednim toocie zapytałem Was o #Thunderbird, ale teraz pomyślałem, że powinienem zacząć od pytania o to jakich klientów używacie na swoich urządzeniach. W moim przypadku są to:
- Apple Mail (aczkolwiek myślę o zmianie na coś innego) - iOS, iPadOS i macOS
- Thunderbird - Windows i Linux
- Outlook - służbowo
Der Bug findet betrifft auch den #Mac. Ich habe leider massive Probleme damit.
Instead of blowing a shitload of donation money on #AI bs, how about you actually focus on what really matters, @mozilla ?
Like:
making #Firefox great and not a marginally less shitty browser compared to #Google #Chrome / #GoogleChrome...
making @thunderbird / #Thunderbird a really good #mail client and not a marginally less shitty #eMail program than #Microsoft #Outlook / #MicrosoftOutlook and #Apple Mail #AppleMail ...

Overall, I like MacOS' Mail app, and have migrated back to that from Spark (not the first time), but I wish Mail supported a service almost all modern email clients do: scheduled send.
I use scheduled send a lot. I usually only have my "brilliant" ideas at like midnight, 1am, but I don't want to look like a clown sending said ideas at midnight. ;)
BIG EDIT: Apparently Apple added this feature (and reminders too!) to Mail with Ventura! I don't know how I missed!
