Is there a Terminal command for sending Apple Events?

As in, I want to send an arbitrary Apple Event to an app on my Mac, given its Class and ID, and maybe add an argument or two? The event is not in that app's Scripting Dictionary.

Wasn’t there some AppleScript syntax for that, for the case where you had a script but not the associated app? Anyone know what that was and if it works with osascript?

Look, I'm never going to go to the Apple TV app. Honestly, I don't really understand what it does. I'm going to just keep clicking the deprecated Apple Events app that yells at me and bounces me to the Apple TV app or whatever. If they ever get rid of the Apple Events app, I guess I just won't be able to watch #AppleEvents anymore.

A new version of SmashTunes was just released. In my attempt to clean up my project, which was kind of dated, I removed some essential configuration that was needed for using #AppleEvents. It triggers a modal that asks your permission to let SmashTunes control #AppleMusic or #Spotify. But these dialog were never shown to new users 🙁
Never remove obscure plist values from your #Xcode project!
Thanks to @matt for taking the trouble to notify me.
