Yes Nail Club on
#WomanInMusic, naturally. Just a single woman making so impressive, dirty, direct, rough, lofi, sexy (yes I admit it!), and of course female music! Which sounds like it comes from the early 80s new wave industrial underground while honestly something like this didn't really exist back then. I. e. I'd wish, Anne Clark's first productions would have been so intense!
And btw. with lofi I don't mean lofi as in lofi lounge music - whoever slapped this tag on that kind of escalator music and made it stick, that's so wrong! I mean lofi as in recording on noisy cassette tape recorders using cheap noisy microphones and noisy delay effects!
You can check this by yourself, the Bandcamp link is right above in the OP. Normally I would recommend some track, but it doesn't matter. Every single track has this intense vibe.
And then again: No Wikipedia entry :( . You can enter "Nail Club music" into the search engine of your choice and she will be all over it: Streaming services, YouTube, Discogs, RateYourMusic, various interviews… it's all there.
Because Wikipedia is always arguing with the term "irrelevant". Why are there so many more lame ass male "musicians" there, but not her?!

I've met Anja here in the Fediverse while talking about photographs taken out of the window of a driving train.
I cannot remember the details exactly but I'm quite sure
@wolf@fedi.solibre.de also participated in the thread. As people come together in the Fediverse sometimes, not knowing each other at all but somehow appreciating each other.
And Anja told us she is sitting in the train with her accordion and her laptop preparing a concert (to be precise she was going to accomplish a silent b&w movie with her live music) in Munich later. And that got my curiosity:
A musician with accordion AND a laptop? I told her that I did see Hainbach operating a Hohner Electronium (basically a vacuum tube synth in the shape of an accordion from the 50s with an unbelievable fat bass sound) and if she is doing something like that (and this was more meant as a joke but still this immediately came to my mind). And imagine my surprise when she told me: Yes, something like that (!). She uses her accordion as MIDI controller but also as natural sound source for controlling her granular synthesis tools. And I was like WHAT!!! REALLY?!?! And I told her how much I like granular synthesis and she told me how much she misses Absynth (discontinued somewhere in the 2000s - a very mighty granular synth by NI). And I was like fire. What a bizarre and great idea: Using an accordion to trigger granular synthesis based music. And I wanted to know what it sounds like.
And you know what: It's top notch stuff from the niche of experimental contemporary classic. She is an worldwide appreciated composer/maker within this genre. Just read her bio in the linked URL. Why there is no Wikipedia entry about her is beyond me. Perhaps because she isn't male?
And I find it hard not to luv her art.
@anja@sonomu.club - thanks for making such great great music (!) - for example…

Unbelievable good soul crushing french
#popMusic by someone who studied liturgical music - in my eyes the best "traditional" pop musician alive right now, can't praise her enough - listen yourself, I mean it:

Iceland = Björk when it comes to
#WomenInMusic, right?
Noooo!
Check this out:
Especially all ya black coat wearing goths out there!
#WIM of course also appear within the #Goth genre and one of the most outstanding formation of the recent years are without a doubt Kælan Mikla (Laufey Soffía, Margrét Rósa Dóru-Harrýsdóttir, and Sólveig Matthildur Kristjánsdóttir) from Island.
Although I find the last album a bit too smoothed (in order to sound more "radio compatible" or whatever?) I can't deny I like their mystic cleric dark wave synth goth style often with
#witch like high pitch yelling as trying to rip your soul out of your breast. The fact that they do not sing in English but Icelandic add to bewitching darkness dropping from their tracks.

Here is just fitting in Today's upcoming
#GothDiscoInferno (hosted mostly by @bauhausmensch@norden.social):

Just a pop singer?
Nope.
A pop singer who strongly engages in
#womenRights, suicide prevention and more. Read the "Activism" chapter in the already linked Wikipedia article and be in awe.
From there also comes this quote:

"In a January 2019 interview with Glamour, she advocated for a stronger presence of
#womenInMusic." (for all those complaining, what a woman rights activist has to do with #WIM - all of this has to do with WIM and Halsey is the absolute super blue print for it).

Speaking of music -
#pop or not - she has no problem to cooperate with underground music icons as Nine Inch Nails which produced a whole album with her. From that album comes for you, super fitting for this series about women in music:

"I take the cake AND the kitchen knife".

Take whatever you want (that includes sexual self-determination). Something which seems naturally for men isn't in most parts of this reality for women, while it definitely should be.
Tkay, raised in Zimbabwe, now living in Australia shows this is absolutely possible, accomplished by first rate beats. So yes,
#WIM is always political as well.

And here comes a track which bears a lot of what makes Alev so unbelievable great:
An seemingly simple song structure. Not sung to chum up with you - this is coming from a deepness elsewhere. And deepness awaits: The simple structure will be broken and the listener will be drawn to dark grounds as well as to siren heights. Often archived just by multilayering her voice. And there is frequently a deep sadness coming along those songs of her. But also salvation from it.
I don't think there is any a male equivalent to this. This is
#WIM at it's peek. So yes, Ladies, Gentlemen, all of you... Here is Alev Lenz:
