#BendingSpoons is a #PrivateEquity firm. #Komoot #bike users should download their already ridden or planned #tracks as #GPX files as soon as possible before they have to pay a lot for them (or even to get a #map update). Better alternatives to Komoot: #Routing with #Brouter , #Cyclers , #VisuGPX or #Valhalla ; (free) navigation with #OrganicMaps or #CycleTravel . Everything else (photos, etc.) is anyway a #socialmedia feature.

Thank you so much. I will try to follow your instructions. If I manage to do it, it would be the perfect solution.
I didn't know that there is a #Brouter plugin in #OsmAnd .This can be very helpful as I anyway use Brouter.de (+ #Valhalla #routing engine + #Cyclers web routing engine) to plan my #bike tracks. Thanks again.
By the way, is there somewhere a sort of #OsmAnd manual? I often get lost with the application and the help section is not always explicit enough for people like me.

#Biking : So far I've mainly used #Brouter.de as #RoutingEngine to #plan the safest possible #cycling #tours and was very happy with it. Now I'm discovering #Valhalla and I'm simply amazed at how adjustable it is and how incredibly good the #results are for my specific #needs .Any #thoughts and #experiences about how these two #routing #engines compare?

Neue unbekannte Situationen sind heraufordernd und es lohnt sich, die Herausforderung anzunehmen.

Es könnte ja gut werden und wenn nicht, dann können wir auch einfach wieder gehen.

Our own @ianthetechie is working on an awesome map for the "lines" #30DayMapChallenge.

Want to know what the #Valhalla routing engine sees according to #OpenStreetMap data? Well, now you can.

The map is color coded by road classification: brighter green lines show major highways (motorways), orange are arterial roads, and the darker reds are local roads.

And what could those lines in sea be? Ferries! 🛳️

We're looking forward to seeing what everyone creates during this fun annual challenge.

I was helping an #UrbanPlanning friend with some spatial analysis with #QGIS but the project seemed to be running out of her 8GB memory.

I advised a #FrameworkLaptop with more memory. She got the DIY option, which lead her to consider her OS choice, which lead her try #Linux (#Ubuntu), which is what she installed after testing it.

Now we'll get back on track using #QGIS / #Docker / #Valhalla / #TurfJS to explore some spatial analysis ideas.

Hey #OpenStreetMap peeps, how can I debug this strange routing behavior?

#GraphHopper & #OSRM make a simple left turn (correct), while #Valhalla and #OsmAnd act as if there's a turn restriction and make a U-turn instead.

This is at 51.73201° N, 9.97389° E, coming from north on B3 and going to the east on A7.

There's been a construction site here a few weeks ago, so my first suspicion was stale data, but even with OsmAnd Live it still does it.

I can't see any restrictions in the data. Ideas?

GraphHopper simply making a left turn.
