Jordi<p>Good morning. Early start today with the 05:43 to Le Puy en Velay, wonderfull ride through the misty hills.</p><p>Le Puy looks like a beautifull place well worth a visit. I'll leave that for another time however. Changed some plans yesterday eve to get some more tracks done after finding out this was possible.</p><p>Started from Albi heading to Gaillac. in Gaillac Changed to the regional bus to Castres, to do the line to Mazamet. Jordi<p>Transfer in Rodez for final destination today Albi.<br>The center of Rodez is a uphill walk, since this year the city busses are free however, so took a chance to ride to the center and walk back in the hour I had to wait.</p><p>Train to Albi is another renovated AGC. Again lovely renovated. The Occitani/LiO AGC differ a bit to the renovated ones in Aura. Not only the coulours differ. These got fully remodelled ceilings and light fixtures. The only line today I already did few times in the past. Jordi<p>From Limoges took the TER to Ussel. Wonderfull branch line through wooded valleys.</p><p>The 50 minutes in Ussel were used to find a local bakery for lunch. Always easy around noon, just go where there are randomly parked cars and work vans in the street. Jordi<p>And off with day 4. Got mostly fresh track to cover today, starting with a ride to Limoges. The service is run by comfy X-TER DMU.</p><p>A shame these late 90's DMU suffer similar fate as other trains from that generation being technically rather complex and fault prone while lacking the step free access of trains that were designed shortly after. Which leads to these trains not getting investments in refitting or renovations. In the interiors that start to show after almost 25years of service. It all working and clean, but looking dated and tired. Jordi<p>Boarded my last train of today. Heading to Montluçon, the line I had planned few months ago bit a cancelled train had me change plans. So only obvious choice to find a routing via this line today.</p><p>Train is a single diesel AGC and afreshly renovated unit. I like what they done to it. Dont change a working concept just improve it. <br>Fresh modern colours and paint inside, new moquette, 220v &amp; usb outlets everywhere, modern information screens, and best of all no more dirty un-cleanable carpetted ceilings. <br>Still always amazed how the AGC was a bombardier product and around same era the Talent too. Braid in trains :lesbian_uz: - solidarity with :streik:<p>Travel recommendation : the :tcdd: 42044 from 🇹🇷 <a href="https://zug.network/tags/Sivas" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Sivas</span></a> to 🇹🇷 <a href="https://zug.network/tags/Malatya" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Malatya</span></a> is an absolute must-travel route in central Anatolia 🥰 !</p><p>The train travels the same route as the Ankara-Diyarbakır Touristic Express others pay USD 500 for - but as a local train it's cheap as USD 5 or even included in InterRail.</p><p>From wide grass lands, little hills up to snowy mountains everything covered 🏔️.</p><p>The train is by far one of the most comfortable regional trainsets I have seen so far. Jordi<p>Reason for thar bus was ofcourse to ride the branch line back to Clermont-Ferrand. It just worked out in the transfer time I had in Clermont and also i rather be in a bus or train when its pissing rain.<br>My train will be two baleine bue. The front one having an interesting livery.
