kc posch<p>I grew up in a small village, and our neighbour had the only cherry tree in the village. My parents made sure that we kids did not jump over the fence and steal some cherries in early summer. Thus, cherries became the forbidden fruit in my childhood paradise. Later in my life, cherry trees always attracted me more than any other plant. kc posch<p>Today, I bicycled from Leipzig southwards along the river Weiße Elster, and later followed the somewhat smaller river Rauda through the lovely tiny valley Mühltal. What a nice bicycle trip this was! I had lunch in the bistro Suppentraum ("soup dream") in Zeitz; the best dream soup ever! Atemu<p>This tiny thorn caused me a <a href="https://darmstadt.social/tags/puncture" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>puncture</span></a> today.</p><p>Thankfully, I am <a href="https://darmstadt.social/tags/prepared" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>prepared</span></a> for this inevitability and always carry a toolkit and a spare tube inside the frame of my <a href="https://darmstadt.social/tags/brompton" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>brompton</span></a>, aswell as a pump on the frame.<br>(I love how neatly all of that packs.)</p><p>I could've patched the tube but decided to simply swap it and patch it later.<br>It took a while because it's my first time but I wasn't in a hurry.</p><p>There was a really nice bench nearby to work on and a small <a href="https://darmstadt.social/tags/creak" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>creak</span></a> to wash my hands in afterwards.</p><p><a href="https://darmstadt.social/tags/bicycle" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bicycle</span></a></p>

7 am: The lady at the bakery gave me a big smile and wished me good luck for the ride. Then I was treated with the most exquisite bicycle road I could wish for. I saw plenty of chirping birds, bees and bumblebees humming in alto and bass, saw my first butterflies of the year, heard woodpeckers knocking hard, and chased plenty of deer. Now I have lunch in Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany. It is a perfect pre-Easter day.

Cycling through the province of Brandenburg, I was humming melodies of the Brandenburg Concertos of JS Bach. The countryside was rather depressing, though. Worst was the village of Kummersdorf with Europe's probably most dangerous memorial. It was Hitler's war lab, where the Nazis experimented with Uranium. Erich Honecker, the leader of the German Democratic Republic, spent here his last night in Germany, before fleeing to Moscow in 1991.

Ideales Fahrradwetter am Wochenende. Das Richtige, um das frisch überholte #Brompton auszufahren.

Mein Brompton ist nun ein Jahr alt. Kette, Schaltkette und hintere Bremsbelege und das 13er Ritzel waren recht genau zum Jubiläum komplett durch. Das habe ich noch bei keinem Rad gehabt.
Ich bin aber auch mit keinem anderem Fahrrad jemals so viel gefahren!

In #Hannover habe ich eine Ausstellung besucht. "Frischer Wind - Impressionismus im Norden". Danach ging es zum #SteinhuderMeer mit dem Rad.
