Are you excited for One UI 7?
Changed my mind. I decided to install Sailfish on the Sony Xperia 10 III.
It was plain sailing.
I guess, things only become difficult when things go wrong, and things went very smoothly.
In brief, I unlocked the bootloader, and downloaded Android 12 from Sony. I flashed that to the Xperia (11 wasn't available). I performed all the usual 'phone stuff, which worked. I then flashed the 'phone with Sailfish using fastboot.
The same things are still working.
I don't know if I mentioned this before but a month ago I managed to patch Android 1.6 (Donut) to compile on modern Debian.
It's quite an odd experience, and I ended up with a rather large patch file.
Hat noch jemand aktuell ähnliche Probleme mit #AntennaPod ?

Exclusive: Samsung Galaxy S23 devices freeze on Instagram Reels
In some regions, such as India and UAE, almost three weeks after the most recent security update has been applied to the Galaxy S23 devices, people began reporting issues regarding their devices freezing and rebooting automatically. This issue was disruptive for users, because it means that they have lost all unsaved work.
People in those regions were reporting issues related to how their Galaxy S23 devices freeze when scrolling through Instagram, especially when watching reels (short videos). Such devices would freeze, then restart abruptly after about 1 to 2 minutes. The issue was raised to Samsung Members Community by many people, including the following posts:
Some reports claim that the issue started as early as three days ago, and the latest version of Instagram that is on the Play Store at the time of the incident is 374.0.0.43.67. People tried various solutions, such as checking for Instagram updates and reinstalling it, but the problem persisted.
We speculate that it may be because there is some kind of bug in either the security update itself or the latest version of Instagram. We are hoping for the latter, but, given the nature of the issue, it looks like that the affected phones were suffering from “kernel panic” issues when scrolling reels. When an Android phone gets a “kernel panic,” it typically freezes for 1 to 2 minutes before rebooting.
We recommend that you hold off watching Instagram reels for now until either a software update (One UI 7) or an Instagram update gets released, which should hopefully resolve this issue.
@CAPETOK Siempre me he preguntado porque #Microsoft no ha hecho una versión de #Android modificada así como hizo #Amazon con #FireOS
HUZZAH! For those who don't remember a while ago I had complained that while using the news reader #feedly to follow #mastodon, if the toot contained an URL then the Link button in the web app would direct to that URL instead of the #mastodon toot. Well that issue went away, BUT for the last week it's now the #android app that's doing it! I'm humbly hoping that maybe someone that can do something about it is listening, because the web was fixed after my first toot :)
Switched to a minimalist launcher on my GrapheneOS phone, and I LOVE IT. I also set my phone to grayscale, which is another huge improvement.
Since I recently broke my screen protector anyway, I've ordered a matte replacement, which will calm down the bright shininess of the phone even more.
I'm starting to get a handle on how to have one of these smartphone things and still lead a rich life, full of choice and glorious privacy.
Is anyone aware of a good European Android and iOS app for "e-mail, calendars, contacts, etc" with support for ActiveSync, and other "modern things"?
(Extra plus if it allows for e-mail aliases to be defined and used.)
