Why yes, I spent half a day chasing and reading some obscure sources. So that I may now transform a reasonably clear sentence that states something quite obvious into a whole new paragraph that will hopefully please the reviewer and their besties. Leute, seit wann sind JPEG-Dateien das einzig wahre Grafikformat beim wissenschaftlichen Schreiben und wann haben Verlage aufgehört, den anerkannten Stand der Technik umzusetzen und Vektorgrafiken für "Line Art" zu benutzen?
I'm thinking of creating a sort of pledge/agreement to use with both academic collaborators as well as grad students, where we (the collaborating team or the student and I) would pledge to never use generative AI in our work.
That would mean I would not collaborate with other researchers who want to use these tools, and I would not supervise students who want to use these tools.
I'm curious to hear thoughts on this.

Hey academics (esp social sciences, humanities). What do you do when a peer reviewer has asked you to do something to your paper that *really* doesn’t work? Suspect one of my reviewers had a particular perspective that I do not share. I’ve attempted what they asked me to do, and I’m not sure it works for my article.
