Living relatively close to the sea is very inspiring. After a long workday it is relieving to go out to the beach and just watch what the sea brings around, while walking between puddles between the rocks. The weird and cold, underwater look of seaweed can show a lot of different greens, blues and even yellows. I think adding extra splatters of both greens and blues is smuggling in more dynamics to this abstract sea life. #sea #underwater #green #blue #abstractart #art #abstract #artgallery

Originally, this piece has a silhouette of a mysterious person’s bust in portrait, painted with a wide brush. No details, no face, only the resembling silhouette. However for some reason I wasn’t satisfied with its look, and I knew there is a better way of making this person really mysterious. Using my hands, I overpainted it adding more purple, burgundy and patches of green, mostly keeping the outlines where I could. The fast movements and quick touches brought a look that now reminds me of the Shrout of Turin. The bright parts of the forehead area with the shoulder length hair definitely achieves the mystery, and the saturated burgundies in the middle and side both add a dramatic look. #acrylic #artwork #artist #painting #abstract #fineart #purple
